Dubbed as the "must-eat" dish in Singapore, chicken rice is a favorite among Singaporeans and tourists. Almost every Singaporean knows of a good chicken rice stall to satisfy their craving. However, I am not a chicken rice person. (I'm unique! :P) It is not that I do not like the dish, it is just that I will never choose to eat chicken rice when I am in a hawker centre, air-conditioned food court or restaurant. I have never craved for it before too.
My parents and Z had cravings for good chicken rice and so we made our way down to Boon Tong Kee in MacPherson Road. Boon Tong Kee serves Cantonese chicken rice. We ordered poached chinese spinach with assorted eggs, steamed chicken (half) and deep fried bean curd.
The "star" of Boon Tong Kee!

Of all the three dishes we ordered, I love the chinese spinach with assorted eggs the most. The chicken rice is also very fragrant so I had two bowls! :P If you are in Boon Tong Kee, remember to ask for the ginger sauce which goes very well with the rice and chicken. :) I top lots of it on my rice! :)
