Ask travelers what Bali means to them and you will get a whole lot of different answers. Some will say that Bali is a great place for seafood. Others will say that it is a place for beach lovers and the list of answers goes on.
One thing for sure, though Bali may be small in size, it is a place where you can spend many days in and never get bored. There are just so many to do in this touristy place.
If you are planning a trip there, there are the top 5 places you must go.
(1) Tanah Lot
Tanah Lot is a rock formation, located in the coastal side of Beraban countryside. It is situated in the west side of Denpasar Town. Engage a Bali driver to bring you there. Tanah Lot is also home to a temple. I love the view from Tanah Lot and it is really worth a visit when you are in Bali.
(2) Mount Batur & Lake Batur
Mount Batur is an active volcano located in Kintamani. The view of the mountain with its deep lake, Lake Batur, makes Kintamani one of the most memorable stops in Bali.
(3) Blue Point Bay Villas & Spa
When I uploaded this photograph (see below) onto Facebook, many friends messaged me to ask me where this place is. This photograph was taken just outside Blue Point Cafe in Blue Point Bay Villas & Spa. The view from the cafe is also spectacular and it is not a place not to be missed if you want to be seated facing the sea and enjoying tea with your loved ones.
(4) Jimbaran Bay
A trip to Bali will not be complete without a visit to Jimbaran Bay. Go there at around 5pm to secure good tables and seats to watch the sunset as you have your seafood dinner. There are many seafood restaurants in Jimbaran Bay and I highly recommend Lia Cafe for their fresh and reasonably priced seafood. I paid about SGD 40 for a very sumptuous seafood meal which will definitely cost thrice this price if I were to have it in Singapore.
(5) Rock Bar in Ayana Resort
I only knew about the Rock Bar on my last day in Bali and due to the lack of time, I did not visit this bar. I read that this place is a must visit destination in Bali and the pictures below probably says it all.
