Hello everyone, if you have been following my blog, you would have known that I came back from my holiday in Scandinavia two weeks ago. I have blogged about my trip in Copenhagen (Day 1, Day 2, Day 3 & 4) and now this is my second blog entry on Bergen! You can read the first entry here. Woohoo!
On the second day of our stay in Bergen, we went on the 'Norway In A Nutshell' tour where we got to experience the scenic Bergen Railway, the breathtaking Flam Railway and go on a cruise to see the amazing Norwegian fjords.
Prior to the trip, after reading many good reviews of the tour, I was confident that I would enjoy myself tremendously. I kept telling the hubby that 'Norway In The Nutshell' tour would most likely be the best part of our entire Scandinavia trip. When there are high hopes, disappointment comes along with it! I was really quite disappointed with the tour because we spent a lot of time in the bus and train. I would prefer a tour that allowed me to explore more by foot.
Quite a number of the photos which you will see were taken from the moving bus and trains. Thank God that the photos turned
out fine even though the bus and trains were travelling at a fast speed. Some of the photos did not look like they were taken from a fast-moving vehicle but they were! :)
I was most impressed with the fjords which I saw during the cruise. The fjord cruise was indeed the highlight of the tour. We braved the cold weather and stood at the upper deck of the ferry for the entire (almost!) two hour cruise.
I will not be writing much in this post. Will let the photos do the talking! :)
